A Complete Path to Teaching Mat & Reformer Pilates
Â
Most Pilates instructors start on the Reformer — but the strongest teachers understand the method beneath it. A well-rounded certification should build both.
This program is designed as a complete, real-world pathway to becoming a confident instructor. It combines Mat foundations, Reformer training, and progressive programming so you don’t just learn exercises — you learn how to teach them. By the end, you’ll know how to sequence, scale, and lead classes in a way studios actually hire for.
Â
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
Â
This is a 300-hour certification built around a clear progression:
learn the method → practice teaching → apply it in real settings.
Â
1. 50 Hours of In-Studio Training
Your training is split into three focused phases:
-
Week 1: Mat Foundations (10 hours)
Learn breath, alignment, foundational movements, and the principles that guide all Pilates programming. -
Weeks 2–3: Foundational Reformer (20 hours)
Build confidence with equipment, safety, and leading beginner-level classes. -
Weeks 4–5: Intermediate–Advanced Reformer (20 hours)
Develop more complex sequencing, dynamic flows, and the ability to lead stronger, mixed-level classes.
Throughout the program, you’ll actively practice teaching, receive feedback, and participate in real class scenarios — not just observe.
Â
2. Digital Course + Workbook Support
Alongside in-studio training, you’ll get 1 year of access to a digital course covering:
-
Pilates history and principles
-
Applied anatomy
-
Class design and sequencing
-
Cueing, modifications, and progressions
-
Professional standards and career guidance
You’ll also use a guided workbook to:
-
Build class flows
-
Track feedback and progress
-
Organize cueing and sequencing
-
Develop your teaching voice
This ensures your learning stays organized, practical, and easy to apply.
Â
3. 250 Hours of Real-World Practice
Certification is earned through actual teaching experience, not just attendance.
You’ll complete:
-
125 Observation Hours
-
25 Mat
-
100 Reformer
-
-
125 Teaching Hours
-
25 Mat
-
100 Reformer
-
This is where everything clicks — turning knowledge into confidence and instinct.
Â
4. Mentorship-Based Evaluation
Instead of written exams, this program focuses on learning by doing.
You’ll be evaluated through:
-
Hands-on teaching
-
Real-time feedback
-
Instructor guidance and correction
Your final step is a Teaching Demonstration, where you lead a session and receive structured feedback to confirm you’re ready to teach.
Â
BE READY TO TEACH IN 5Â WEEKS
Â
By the end of your in-studio training, you won’t be waiting to feel ready — you’ll already be teaching.
You’ll have:
-
Led peer classes
-
Built full Mat and Reformer sequences
-
Practiced real-time cueing
-
Completed a graded teaching session
From there, you’re encouraged to start teaching while completing your remaining hours.
The path is simple:
Train → Teach → Refine → Grow
Â
WHAT YOU GRADUATE WITH

Â
WHY THIS APPROACH WORKS
